Photo Competition and Exhibition ‘Life Triumphs!’

The competition is part of  the‘Vienna Express 2010: Towards Universal Access’ and aims to motivate and inspire people to step up the fight against HIV and combat stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV.

The central message of the contest and exhibition is: ‘Life is Wonderful – Protect It!’. Combating HIV can take a long time, so some lose hope or become indifferent, meaning efforts are wasted. At the same time we sometimes forget that we must work to preserve life! It is full of color, optimism and it is unforgettable. Life must prevail! Therefore, I decided to organise this contest and exhibition to focus on the positive: our dreams, happiness, optimism about life and love.

The most positive and inspiring photos will receive an award and will be displayed in a photo exhibition held in Chisinau in the first week of July.

Agenda:

• The exhibition opening
• Press-conference. During the press conference the partner organisations will also give presentations about their projects on HR among IDUs and CSWs that they are running in the regions
• The street campaigns ‘Life is Wonderful– Protect It!’ and ‘+1′

The street campaign is being carried out by volunteers from partner organisations and social services. They will distribute promotional materials and invite people to visit the exhibition and learn more about HIV transmission, harm reduction and other methods of HIV prevention.

Each person who learns something new about HIV prevention will be invited to make a plus mark on the blackboard (+1 campaign).
